21 May 2018, New York: Bluenumber announces B#Chain, a GDPR-compliant decentralised blockchain platform to secure the Bluenumber ecosystem for B# holders and their transactions.
Bluenumber’s unique alphanumeric identifier, the B#, identifies people, organisations, places and things. B#s connect actors and elements across systems, revealing networks and relationships. For famers and workers now joining the global economy, a B# enables them to be recognised, and enjoy the benefits of participating as individuals with digital dignity.
Bluenumber is now building B#Chain using a block-based decentralised platform. Unlike current blockchain platforms, B#Chain guarantees the ‘right to be forgotten’, a key element for compliance to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other emerging data privacy and protection laws. B#Chain delinks B# holder’s data from transactions that their B#s are involved in.
All B#s are stored in the Bluenumber Registry, a separate database that is off of the blockchain. Any B# holder can request for their information to be permanently deleted from the Bluenumber Registry. B#Chain blockchains all transactions between B#s but the transaction record does not store any personal information of B# holders.
Bluenumber is working closely with ProximaX, a blockchain-based, decentralised platform powered by NEM Foundation. B#Chain will be built-in to all Bluenumber solutions and any B#-compatible app within the Bluenumber Platform and ecosystem. All B# users will benefit from B#Chain and the security blockchain can offer their transactions.
Bluenumber will be introducing a coin in early 2019, available to all B# holders with no fees for transactions within the Bluenumber Platform and ecosystem.
